José Antonio Correa Etchegaray has served as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Quálitas Controladora since January 2021; he has been CEO of Quálitas Compañía de Seguros (Quálitas Mexico) since January 2018, and prior to this role he served as CFO of the same company for more than 3 years.
José Antonio previously served as CFO at major companies such as Seguros Monterrey New York Life and earlier at Procter & Gamble Mexico for Latin America. He has relevant experience in the financial, consumer goods, and industrial sectors.
He is a Chemical Engineer from Universidad Iberoamericana and holds an executive management diploma from IPADE in Mexico.
Bernardo Eugenio Risoul Salas has served as Deputy CEO since April 2023. Bernardo joined Quálitas in January 2019 as CFO and was appointed Vice Chairman of the Board in April 2020; later, in March 2021, he also assumed the role of CEO for international and non-insurance subsidiaries.
He has more than 25 years of experience in multinational companies, including regional and global leadership roles in countries such as Mexico, the United States, Brazil, Chile, Panama, and Venezuela. He has relevant experience in the financial and industrial sectors.
He is an Industrial Engineer from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and holds a diploma in corporate finance from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
Joaquín Brockmann Domínguez began working at Quálitas Compañía de Seguros in 2015. From then until 2019 he worked in the claims area, from customer service to implementing innovation projects. From 2019 to February 2022, he worked in the commercial area, responsible for servicing agents and regional offices.
As of February 2022, he was appointed Director of Office Support and Special Projects. Joaquín was appointed Alternate Member of the Board of Directors of Quálitas Controladora in April 2020, and in April 2021, he became a Proprietary Member. He also serves as Alternate Director at Q MX.
Joaquín Brockmann Domínguez holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Anáhuac Norte.
María del Pilar Moreno Alanís has been a Board Member since 2016. She has more than 29 years of experience in the insurance industry, specifically in auto insurance. She is currently the Technical Director at Quálitas Compañía de Seguros.
Prior to rejoining Quálitas in 2014, she served as Technical Director of Individual Auto Insurance at GNP. From 2002 to 2012 she worked at Quálitas, where her last role was Director of Underwriting and Special Business. Since 2014, as Technical Director, she has participated in the AMIS Auto Committee and has chaired it since 2021.
She is an Actuary from Universidad Anáhuac and holds a master’s degree in Mathematical Methods in Finance from the same university.
Wilfrido Javier Castillo Miranda Olea has been a Board Member since 2008. He has more than 15 years of experience at Quálitas Compañía de Seguros, from operations to the Board of Directors, maintaining active participation in the Investment Committee.
He has extensive financial experience, particularly with Altum Capital Privado. He is currently a Portfolio Manager and participates on various Boards such as Altum Capital Privado (private credit) and Prolade (agribusiness).
He also serves on the boards of ProEducación IAP (education), ReforestAcción (environment), and promotes social investing in technology with the Institute of Robotics (IDR).
He is an Engineer from Universidad Iberoamericana, holds an MBA from Politécnico di Milano, a Master’s in Operations Research from Cornell University, and certificates in Corporate Governance (Kellogg), Sustainable Finance, and ESG Investing (NYU).
Wilfrido Javier Castillo Miranda Olea is the son of Wilfrido Javier Castillo Sánchez Mejorada.
Juan Marco Gutiérrez Wanless has been a Board Member since 2012. He was CEO of Grupo KUO and Pegaso, and also held the position of Deputy CEO at Promecap and Telefónica Móviles México.
He is the founding partner of Anteris Capital, and is currently an independent Board Member at private companies, AMEXCAP, and the School of Engineering at Universidad Anáhuac.
He has relevant experience in the financial, communication services, and industrial sectors. Juan Marco Gutiérrez holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Anáhuac and has graduate studies from ITAM.
Mauricio Domenge Gaudry is an independent Board Member. He has more than 35 years of experience in the national and international financial sectors. He has coordinated multidisciplinary teams in project development, particularly infrastructure across several countries.
He has experience in M&A, corporate and debt restructuring, and has participated in financial markets through bond issuances, public equity offerings, and structured financings.
Throughout his career he has served on Boards of Directors both as an independent and as a nominated member (IFC) at financial institutions in Mexico and Chile. He has experience with fund management (reserves and Wealth Management) as well as credit structuring and placement.
In addition to Quálitas, he currently serves as Board Member at Anteris Capital Venture Lending, S. de R.L. de C.V. He has relevant experience in the financial and real estate sectors.
Madeleine Marthe Claude Brémond Santacruz has been a Board Member since 2016. She has extensive experience in the services and consumer goods industries, as well as tourism.
She is currently Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of El Puerto de Liverpool and Tobanis (Holding). She also serves on the Boards of Invex, Hoteles y Condominios, and Compañía Hotelera de Guadalajara.
She actively participates in philanthropic institutions such as the Pierre Brémond Foundation, the Franco-Mexican-Swiss-Belgian Charity Association, and serves as Vice Chairwoman of the French Alliance of Mexico and the Board of the National Museum of Anthropology.
She has relevant experience in the financial, consumer staples, and discretionary consumption sectors. Madeleine Brémond holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Anáhuac.
Alfonso Tomás Lebrija Guiot has been a Board Member since 2018. He has experience dating back to 1971 in audits of all types for national and international companies in both the public and private sectors.
He was Chairman of the Instituto Mexicano de Contadores Públicos, A.C., and also Chairman of the Mexican Council for Financial Reporting Standards (CINIF) — the highest accounting regulatory authority in Mexico.
Lebrija participates on Boards and Audit Committees of multiple companies: Quálitas Controladora, Grupo Financiero Mifel, Afianzadora Sofimex, Fianzas Dorama, Thona Seguros, Grupo Kasa Automotriz, AMDA, Andamios Atlas, Gentera (Grupo Compartamos), Grupo Pegaso, Yale, and Club Malinalco. He is currently External Auditor for UNAM.
He has relevant experience in the financial sector. Alfonso Lebrija is a Public Accountant from UNAM and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from ITAM.
José Francisco Torres Olmos has been a Board Member since 2021. He has experience dating back to 1972 in the insurance and bonding sectors, holding leadership roles in areas such as health insurance, property & casualty, automotive, and finance.
He has extensive experience in underwriting, reinsurance, and claims management. He served on several AMIS committees and is currently Chairman of the Board and founding partner of Grupo Interesse.
José Francisco Torres Olmos is an Actuary from UNAM, holds a Master’s in Administration with a specialization in Finance from ITESM, and completed the AD2 Senior Management Program at IPADE.
Luis Celhay López has been a Board Member since 2022. He is a Public Accountant from UNAM and has more than 35 years of experience in auditing and finance.
He served as Chairman of the Instituto Mexicano de Contadores Públicos, A.C. during 1999–2000, an institution that brings together 60 professional colleges nationwide.
He is currently Statutory Auditor at Scotiabank Inverlat, S.A., a multiple banking institution, and at three other companies of that banking group. He is a retired partner from EY México (Mancera, S.C.).
He has relevant experience in the financial sector.
David Coppel Calvo has been a Board Member since April 2023. He is currently Commercial Director and a member of the Board of Directors at Grupo Coppel.
He began his career at the company in 2005 and previously worked as Commercial Manager at Soriana from 2001 to 2003.
David Coppel holds a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from ITESM and a Master’s in Business Administration from IPADE. He has completed various studies in New York, Dublin, and China.
Additionally, he is a member of various committees at Grupo Coppel related to Afore and BanCoppel, and is a member of the Board at Pershing Square HoldCo GP, ANTAD, and Corazón Capital.
